About

Isadora Vail was a reporter for two major newspapers in Central Texas before she turned 25.

She began writing professionally for a bilingual publication, Conexión, in San Antonio. There she established a weekly column about local combat soldiers called “Fuerzas Amadas.”

As an intern for the San Antonio-Express News, she covered education reform in 2006 and an incredibly unique gubernatorial race during a special session of the Texas Legislature.

Most recently she was a crime and public safety reporter for the Austin American-Statesman. She covered high-profile cases including the sentencing of Laura Hall, the shooting of Nathaniel Sanders, and the appeal of Rodney Reed.

Isadora left the world of newspapers in September 2011 to begin a freelancing career. Follow her here as she begins this new adventure, and should you need a freelance journalist or social media help, please find her contact information here.
